The brilliant, hysterical, and charmingly Canadian Ryan Reynolds did what we all wanted to do (no, not slip into the “big red body condom” Deadpool costume); he bought his own line of spirits. The brand Aviation Gin was brought to life in the humble yet beautiful ambiance of Distillery Row in Portland, Oregon. Last year, Reynolds reached out and took the brand into his loving embrace as a majority owner, giving it national attention and a hefty dose of sarcasm.

So what exactly happens when you take a comedian with a pension for self-depreciation and snarky wit and mix it with an award-winning craft gin? You get the best damn gin commercial you’ll ever see.

Ryan has worked tirelessly to create some of the world’s most iconic media properties and will bring that drive and creativity to sharing Aviation with the world.

Andrew T. Chrisomalis, CEO of Davos Brands.

Reynolds is following P-Diddy’s lead by investing in the spirits industry, but has, obviously, taken a much different approach.  The brilliant marketing campaigns harness Reynolds’ humor and poke fun at the stereotypical handcrafted product industry while weaving facts and outlandish fiction all into one easy-on-the-eyes story.

Still made by House Spirits in Portland, Oregon, Aviation Gin was purchased by Davos Brands a few years back. Flash forward to everyone’s favorite anti-hero sipping a gin martini, and a new majority owner is found.

I’ve tried every gin on the planet and Aviation is, hands down, the best. Also, I don’t recommend trying every gin on the planet. Stick with this one.

Ryan is the content guy at Rareview and thankfully, not related to the Pearsons. Bringing over a decade of writing to the table, as well as a hefty pour of bourbon, his delusions of grandeur keep him writing and drinking.
